Bungie outlines its plans for Destiny 2 in 2018

In a recent blog post, Bungie outlined some of the new content and changes coming to Destiny 2 this year.

Game Director Christopher Barrett took to Bungie’s website to explain how free content updates will be rolled out to all players going forward.

This will come in the form of ‘Seasons’ which will include the Iron Banner, Faction Rallies and all upcoming seasonal events such as The Dawning.

You won’t need to have purchased any of Destiny 2’s expansions to access this content, granting you neat bonuses without dishing out extra dough.

Eververse, the virtual storefront that deals in Destiny 2’s equivalent to lootboxes, is also set to receive some changes in 2018.

Bungie has stated it has shifted the balance in favour of more desirable rewards such as Ghosts, Sparrows and Ships instead of repeating shaders and little else.

You’ll still have to the option to purchase Bright Engrams with real-world currency but players without that option should feel more frequently rewarding for levelling up in the endgame.
