Apple Watch Deals: Best sales on Series 1 and Series 3

The Apple Watch is the most popular smartwatch around, and it’s not hard to see why. It’s the perfect companion to the ever popular iPhone, tethering your digital life to your wrist with a stylish twist.

Having an Apple Watch isn’t just like having an iPhone on your wrist – it’s so much better than that. You can tons more than simply view your iPhone messages and notifications on the Apple Watch. There’s health and fitness tracking, built-in GPS (depending on the model you buy) and a slick reel of apps to keep you busy. It’s probably closer to a superhero’s spy gadget than a timepiece, which is reason, if anything, to get your mitts on one.

Which Apple Watch model to buy?

There are now several different Apple Watch models available. Series 1 is the first-gen revamped, Series 2 is the most recent version, and then there’s the all-new Apple Watch 3, which was recently unveiled alongside the iPhone 8 and Apple TV 4K.

Want to get the latest and greatest Apple Watch? Here’s where you can buy the Apple Watch 3 n the UK right now. You don’t even have to pay an upfront cost if opting for the LTE-enabled model.

Apple Watch size options

Consider the size of your wrist and how large or small you’d like the watch to appear before making your choice of model. While traditional watches are measured horizontally, Apple measures its watches vertically. The smaller size has a 38mm height, while the larger sits at 42mm. In terms of function they’re identical, although you might find it a little trickier to use the smaller screen on the 38mm version.

If you’re after Apple’s latest Watch, you have a choice of either GPS or GPS + LTE models. The LTE means that through an e-SIM, the Apple Watch 3 can have its own network connection, giving you continuous data access so that you can receive phone calls and messages on your watch even if you leave your iPhone at home.

There are other performance enhancements inside through a faster processor and wireless chip, and Apple has also added an altimeter for elevation data during exercise. In the UK, the LTE model is available exclusively from EE and you’ll need a separate Smart Watch data plan – although your watch will share the same number as your iPhone.

UGREEN 4400mAh portable charger

UGREEN Apple Watch

If you need a way to keep your Apple Watch’s battery topped up while you’re on the move, perhaps when travelling for work, this UGREEN 4400mAh portable charger could be just what you need. Not only can it top up an Apple Watch’s battery around eight times, there’s an integrated Lightning cable so you can top up your iPhone, too.

It’s charged over micro-USB and can also make for a handy charging desktop dock; you can plonk your Apple Watch on to charge while the UGREEN portable charger is plugged in at the same time. It works out cheaper than buying a second official Apple Watch charger.

Apple Watch Deals – Series 1 vs Series 2

The Series 1 and Series 2 watches are visually fairly similar. The first series uses stainless steel and sports a sapphire crystal display. Sports editions used anodised aluminium casing, while the Hermes and Watch Edition models are perfect for those with the deepest of pockets.

In terms of features, the latest series offers excellent levels of water-resistance, a brighter screen and improved performance across the board. It even includes built-in GPS, which is important if you’re fitness-inclined. Make sure you’re using an iPhone 5 or later in order to be able to use the watch.
